Journey to Being Strong

I never was a very strong girl, physically and mentally. I always got picked on for my size, told that I was ' forever little' and 'incapable'. Those comments affected me. With everything. After awhile I learned to accept what they said and say, "I don't care what they say, I was made this little and I'm going to own it!" That was the beginning of my journey to becoming a strong woman.

After I decided I didn't care what people thought about me, I found more happiness with looking at myself. I felt unstoppable. But then it started to settle back in again. I heard yet another comment on my weight and how 'weak' I am. It got to me. More than I should've let it....

That's when I decided it was time for me to change so I could be happy with myself. I changed for me and only me. I made myself better for me. That's when I started my journey with earning the Girl Scout Gold Award and upping my game in working out. If there was any way I was going to get mentally and physically stronger, I would only do it my way.

I started with 5Ib weights in January and now I'm at 15Ibs! I can do pull-ups and chin-ups (Lady Warrior in the house!)!

My project was long and extensive. Out of all the projects in my life, this one affected me more than ever. Military and people serving our nation are legit. They made me stronger without me even knowing it! (Click the picture if ya wanna know what I did loves. :D)

I won't lie. I won't say the journey was made up of rainbows and unicorns (that'd be pretty sweet if it was!) It was rough at times. Some days I had to smack a smile on my face for the sake of others. But hey, that was okay. I got through it, I AM getting through it. I'm conquering it.

So you guys might be wondering, "What's your point here, Debbie?". My point is simple, don't give up. Don't listen to the haters. Turn away and keep being a total BAD-ASS! No one can stop you! Be unstoppable! If I can, you can. Just believe in yourself.

And...DON"T YOU EVER QUIT! I believe in you sunshine!
